To realize a carbon-neutral society, it is essential to reduce CO2 emissions. In the process of achieving this, using chemical substances, which are harmful to the human body and the environment, becomes necessary. Typical examples include ammonia which is expected to be used as fuel for ships and thermal power generation, electrolytic solutions for storage batteries and amine solutions for CO2 capture. In addition, although not harmful to the human body or the environment, pure water used in geothermal power generation and fuel cells is handled in a way that it does not come in contact directly with the ambient air.

The canned motor pump construction also allows them to be used in a wide range of processes, even under severe operating conditions such as high and low temperatures, high pressure and under vacuum. In addition, the longer maintenance cycle than standard mechanically sealed pumps makes them suitable for use in areas where maintenance is not easy, such as inside nacelles in offshore wind turbines.
