Features
■ Reduces pressure pulsations that are characteristic to reciprocating pumps.
Reciprocating pumps such as metering pumps generate pulsation with the liquid flow.
This pulsation can cause larger-than-expected piping losses or cause vibrations throughout the piping which can be a problem.
Therefore, a Pulsation Damper that significantly reduces pulsation is effective.
TEIKOKU Pulsation Dampers are available in the following two types
■ Air chamber type (PC Series)

A part of the handled liquid discharged from the pump is taken in and discharged in response to the stroke of the pump head.
The buffer gas then alternately compresses and expands, effectively cushioning the peaks to reduce pulsation in the piping.
The structure is simple with few parts and low cost.
■ PTFE diaphragm type (PS Series)

The pumped liquid and buffer gas are separated by PTFE diaphragm and the gas does not mix with the liquid.
This allows for long-term pulsation damping effect.
It can also be manufactured with a metal diaphragm to meet higher temperature and pressure specifications.
